Sleeping in the nude...well almost. 7/15/12

So I get a call from Brad this morning asking if I took Malia’s diaper off last night. It was hot so I left her in a onesie. Apparently Malia wasn’t having it. This is what we found this morning.

Introduction to solids

It's finger food time.

Malia cut her first tooth and started to display signs of readiness to eat solid foods. We introduced Organic Puff baby food created by the well know Baby Guru Dr. Sears. These puffs desolve quickly in the mouth to eliminate choking and prepare babies for solids. Malia likes these new finger foods. She is quicky learning how to use her thumb and index finger to pick up these objects. Her first instinct was to use both her index fingers like chopsticks to grab her food. Brad and I giggled over her first few trys.

Brad and I have yet to introduce solids until we take a CPR class. I cant wait to see what milestone she overcomes next...
Like father, like daughter.

MY FIRST TOOTH

Malia cut her first tooth today. The bottom front insicor to the left. It's jagged and sharp as hell. Reminds me of a puppies tooth. Sharp and pointy unaware of its bite. She bit my finger the other day and I literally shouted in pain. She just looked at me like "Why did you do that for. " This is the only time I am thankful for not continuing to breast feed. Ouch. I love you MOM! You're a saint.
Malia is bit fussier than usual but still a happy little baby just the same. We have been giving her teething tablets and cold mesh pops during the day to help with the pain.
She is showing signs of improvement and sleeping like a champ.

1 tooth down 19 more baby teeth to go!

Opening Day at the 2012 Del Mar Races

A Day At The Races!
This was our first time attending the Corona Del Mar Races. A place where tradition never goes out of style. We took the 9:50 train from Irvine arriving in Solano Beach around 10:56am. While on our way to races we met with a few friends at the local bar in Solano beach waiting for the next double decker shuttle bus to arrive and take us to our final destination at the Del Mar fair grounds.

upon are arrival, we met with Brads long time friend Taylor Baffert who presented us with VIP tickets to the Turf Club. Taylors father is well known trainer, owner Bob Baffert; Know for his reabilitation with race horses.

We were invited into the bafferts and friends luxury suite where we ate, drank and enjoyed the company of horse races enthusiasts. I had the "luck" of meeting three old grandpa's dressed in the traditional 50's attire who directed me on which horse to bet on. Needless to say, I won 5 straight races until it came time to leave.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new.  ~Rajneesh

Jump, Jump, Jump!

Malia in her jumper. Her feet could not touch the floor a month ago. Now, we have to adjust the height two more notches. She's growing like a weed. Tall girl for her age.
